YWCA's Annual
We Believe Event

At YWCA Central Carolinas, we believe in eliminating racism, empowering women and promoting peace, justice, freedom and dignity for all.

YWCA’s annual We Believe event is our single biggest fundraiser each year, raising hundreds of thousands of dollars to support all of YWCA’s programs, including transitional housing programs for women and children facing homelessness, out-of-school literacy programs for children in low-income households, and racial justice programs that educate and mobilize our community. In 2020, more than 600 people attended our We Believe event. In 2021, we offered an all-virtual live event, open to the general public.

If you missed YWCA Central Carolinas’ We Believe 2021 event, or would like to revisit our program, you can watch it online! Our program was entirely virtual and featured a fireside chat with Dr. Felicia Baiden, assistant professor of clinical practice in the Tift College of Education at Mercer University.

Thank you to our 2021 sponsors for supporting our mission to eliminate racism, empower women and promote peace, justice, freedom and dignity for all.
