Ydub Co-ed Training - Fall 2018 - Partnering with Industrial Strength Fitness
YWCA’s triathlon training is a comprehensive program that provides review, and tactical coaching that will elevate swimming, biking, and running performance.
This 6-week training will lead up to a YWCA Practice Triathlon on Sep 15th.
*Please note this is not a beginner level swim lesson.
YWCA is partnering with Industrial Strength Fitness! What does this mean? It means you have access to more equipment including TRX, sleds, medicine balls, kettlebells, sand bags, and more!
You’ll develop more overall strength as your body is challenged in different ways!
Prerequisites include: Ability to swim the freestyle stroke 250 yards non-stop (10-full lengths of the pool), bike 10-miles, and run/walk 2-miles.
Participants must provide: goggles, bike, running shoes, bike helmet, red blinking bike light.

Mom, Dad - leave the kids with us and enjoy a night out! Once a month, the YWCA hosts movie night in the pool. From 6pm-8pm, kids watch a movie and float in the pool. Only $5/child. Child must be able to float unsupported for at least five seconds on front and back; able to swim five yards of front and back crawl without assistance. Children must be nine years or older or swim with an adult at all times. Register online!
Learn how to breathe underwater! Your PADI-certified instructor, Ken, will teach you how to become scuba certified, or simply introduce you to the exciting hobby of scuba diving! To learn more, check out our flyer here!
Register your troop(s) for in-water badge work, train for camp swimming or pure pool fun. Trained staff will lead Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts through in-water training. We can customize a program to fit your needs or use our own American Red Cross approved safety program. This program is designed to meet the requirements of the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts of America Aquatics Badge.

Have you ever wanted to compete in a triathlon? From first timers to experienced competitors, we offer seasonal group and 1:1 trainings. Led by certified USAT coach Jody Frazier and Coach Lisa Farnick, you'll be led step-by-step through swimming, biking, and running drills over a multi-week period. Build friendships with your fellow athletes and feel the pride of crossing the finish line. The session includes a practice triathlon, preview of the race course, and an abundance of support from your fellow YDubbers. Check the website seasonally for training and fee information.
