Thank you to our supporters who donated an impressive $22,395.71 towards YWCA’s mission to eliminate racism, empower women and promote peace, justice freedom and dignity for all during the 2-week Giving Tuesday campaign here in Charlotte. Volunteers also showed their support by pledging 16 hours to work in our transitional housing programs and youth learning centers and parents spent over 63 hours volunteering in youth learning centers across Mecklenburg and Union counties.
Non-profits across the U.S. participate in Giving Tuesday to spread awareness of different ways people can support and share their money and time with organizations during the holiday season. #GivingTuesdayCLT focuses on non-profits in the Queen City, and YWCA is grateful to be part of a large network of organizations doing good all during the year.
