About The Empowerment Society
YWCA Central Carolinas’ Empowerment Society is a community of dedicated leaders and philanthropists committed to creating lasting change for women, children and families across Charlotte. Members invest in YWCA’s mission of eliminating racism and empowering women through annual leadership gifts of $2,500 or more.
Together, Empowerment Society members sustain and strengthen YWCA’s life-changing programs — from housing and youth literacy to racial justice and health & wellness — ensuring that our 120-year legacy of advancing equity and opportunity continues to thrive for generations to come.
